This blog unveils five incredible Philadelphia destinations guaranteed to turn your Apartmentalize trip into an unforgettable experience. From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, get ready to explore the best of Philly and unwind in style!

Before we dive in, though, we want you to “meet” Stefan Hudgins, a Regional Account Executive for Fetch. Stefan hails from Charleston, South Carolina, and will be at the Fetch booth during Apartmentalize. He’s one of our Fetch experts and will be available to answer any questions you have related to package management. We hope you’ll at least stop by and say “Hi!”

June 19 will be here soon, and the entire Fetch team is gearing up to attend. You can find us in Booth #3124, so please swing by for some cool swag and a chance to win great prizes when you try to “fetch” your package with our package management game.

At Fetch, we support the career growth and connections you gain at association events like Apartmentalize. It’s a fabulous opportunity to visit with others in the industry, refresh “old” friendships, and make new connections.

Hope to see you there!

So, without further delay, here is our list of the top 5 amazing places to visit in Philadelphia during Apartmentalize.

Philadelphia

SPIN has a delicious food menu, along with a fun assortment of cocktails and spirit-free drinks. You can watch this video to check out the SPIN experience. You can make reservations or just walk in, but it’s a unique experience you might want to add to your “To Do” list.

Graffiti Bar at SAMPAN

Philadelphia

Why you should visit:

Sampan specializes in modern Asian cuisine in Philadelphia’s Midtown Village. And tucked into the rear of the restaurant on a private 30-seat patio is the Graffiti Bar. It serves the same acclaimed Asian food and drinks by Chef Schulson that have made Sampan so popular, but it’s also a haven for sports fans, equipped with a TV, and home to our daily Happy Hour.

Graffiti Bar is located down a narrow chain-linked fence alley adjacent to Sampan, surrounded by a mural commissioned by local artist Ali M Williams. The bar is enclosed, ensuring comfort regardless of the weather, with heating for chilly nights and air conditioning for warmer days. Every Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Graffiti Bar offers one of the best Happy Hours in the city, featuring Satays, Dumplings & Spring Rolls, Bao Buns & more. Drinks include a daily changing cocktail, wine, and beer specials!

  • Hours: Wednesday – Thursday, 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., open until midnight on Fridays
  • 124 S 13th St., Philadelphia, PA 19107 (Map)
  • Approximately a 5-minute drive or a 7-minute walk from the Pennsylvania Convention Center

The Rocky Statue and the Rocky Steps

Philadelphia

Why you should visit:

It just doesn’t seem right that you would visit Philadelphia and not stop by this iconic statue and steps. It was created for a scene in the 1982 film “Rocky III” and later presented to the City of Philadelphia by actor Sylvester Stallone. For Stallone, Rocky’s ascent to the top of the steps is symbolic of Philadelphia, a city where an underdog can become a champion through hard work, determination, and hustle.

If you haven’t seen any of the “Rocky” movies — well, you need to fix that immediately! The “Rocky” movies are about a fictional boxer, Rocky, who ended his morning run with an ascent up the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps. No Philly trip is complete without a visit to this iconic landmark. Run up the steps, just like Rocky, and capture a memorable photo.

Magic Gardens

Philadelphia

Why you should visit:

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is an immersive mixed-media art environment completely covered with mosaics. The creator, Isaiah Zagar, used handmade tiles, bottles, bicycle wheels, mirrors, and international folk art to chronicle his life and influences. The space consists of two indoor galleries and a bi-level outdoor sculpture garden.

The exhibition, “Threads of Transformation: Works by Krista Dedrick-Lai and Margaux McAllister,” will be on display during Apartmentalize. It showcases paintings, textiles, and sculptures by Krista Dedrick-Lai and Margaux McAllister, who share their journeys of self-reflection and growth through womanhood and motherhood. Navigating brokenness, tenderness, and togetherness in these mixed-media works, they examine human connections and transformation.

Liberty Bell Center

Philadelphia

Why you should visit:

Let freedom ring! Easily recognizable because of its crack, the Liberty Bell remains significant today for its message of liberty. Abolitionists, women’s suffrage activists, civil rights leaders, and others have used this bell to symbolize the fight for equality.

Witness a symbol of American freedom and learn about its historical significance. Admission is free, making it a budget-friendly activity. Park rangers share the story of the Liberty Bell, and there are also self-guided exhibits about this now-famous symbol of liberty.

From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, Philadelphia offers something for everyone. Whether you crave a fun night out, a historical adventure, or a unique artistic experience, these top 5 destinations won’t disappoint.

So, make the most of your downtime during Apartmentalize 2024 and explore the rich tapestry Philly has to offer.
